How do I activate adaptive cruise control in my Audi A3?

I recently purchased a new Audi A3 and I cannot seem to figure out how to activate the adaptive cruise control feature. I have tried pressing the buttons on the steering wheel but nothing happens. Can someone please provide step-by-step instructions on how to activate this feature? Thank you!
