How do I check if my Audi A3 is due for a timing belt replacement?

I recently purchased a used Audi A3 and I'm not sure if the timing belt has been replaced. How can I check and when should I get it replaced if necessary?

When in doubt, it's always best to check with a mechanic or dealership. They can look up the service records for your specific vehicle and advise you on the recommended timing belt replacement interval. In general, it's recommended to replace the timing belt every 60,000-100,000 miles.

You can also do a visual inspection of the timing belt. Check for any signs of cracking, fraying, or missing teeth. If you notice any of these, it's definitely time for a replacement.
