How often should you change the oil in an Audi A1?

I recently bought an Audi A1 and I'm not sure how often I should be changing the oil. I've read conflicting information online, some say every 5,000 miles while others say every 10,000 miles. What is the recommended oil change interval for an Audi A1 and why?

Hi Jacob, congratulations on your new Audi A1! According to Audi's official recommendation, the oil should be changed every 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. This is because Audi uses high-quality, synthetic oil that can last longer than traditional oil. However, if you frequently drive in severe conditions such as stop-and-go traffic or extreme temperatures, it's best to change the oil more frequently.

Hey Jacob, it's important to regularly check your oil level and quality in between oil changes. If you notice the oil is dark or low, it's best to get it changed sooner rather than later. It's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your engine's health.
