Is the Audi A8 3.0L TFSI engine worth the upgrade?

I am considering upgrading to the Audi A8 with the 3.0L TFSI engine, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra cost. Can someone give me some insight into the performance and fuel efficiency of this engine?
