What is the difference between Quattro and All-Wheel Drive (AWD)?

I'm considering buying an Audi, but I'm not sure what the difference is between Quattro and All-Wheel Drive. Can you explain it to me?

Hi Samantha, great question! Both Quattro and AWD are types of all-wheel drive systems, but they differ in their technology and capabilities. Quattro is Audi's own brand of all-wheel drive, which uses a center differential to distribute power between the front and rear wheels. This results in a more balanced and dynamic driving experience. AWD, on the other hand, is a generic term for any all-wheel drive system that is not specific to a particular brand. It can vary greatly in its performance and capabilities.

Hey Samantha, if you're looking for optimal traction and control, I highly recommend going for an Audi with Quattro. It uses sensors to constantly monitor road conditions and adjust power distribution accordingly, providing better grip and stability in all weather conditions. AWD, while still a good option, may not offer the same level of precision and performance.

Hi Samantha, as a long-time Audi owner, I can assure you that the Quattro system is worth every penny. In my experience, it offers superior handling and grip, especially in slippery or uneven road conditions. You won't regret choosing Quattro over AWD.
