First, check your coolant levels and make sure they are at the proper level. If they are low, refill with a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. If your coolant levels are fine, the issue may be with your radiator or water pump. It's best to have a mechanic inspect and diagnose the problem.

Regular maintenance is key to preventing engine overheating. Make sure to have your radiator flushed and coolant replaced every 30,000 miles. Also, keep an eye on your temperature gauge while driving and if it starts to climb, pull over and let the engine cool down before continuing your journey.
