Why does my Audi A5 engine make a clicking noise?

I have noticed a clicking noise coming from my Audi A5 engine. It seems to occur mostly when the car is idling or when I am driving at a low speed. What could be causing this and is it something I should be concerned about?

It is likely that the clicking noise is coming from a damaged or worn out valve lash adjuster. This is a common issue in Audi engines and can be fixed by replacing the damaged component.
