Can the Audi 80's engine support an aftermarket turbocharger?

I am interested in installing a turbocharger on my Audi 80 to boost its performance. However, I am not sure if the stock engine can handle the added stress. Can anyone confirm if the Audi 80's engine is compatible with an aftermarket turbocharger and if any modifications are required?

Yes, the Audi 80's engine can handle an aftermarket turbocharger, but it is recommended to first reinforce the internal components for optimal performance. I have personally installed one on my Audi 80 and have not had any issues.
