To check your brake pads, remove the wheel and look for the brake rotor. You should see the brake pads resting against the rotor. Measure the thickness of the pads using a ruler or caliper. If they are less than 1/4 inch thick, it's time to replace them.

When it's time to replace your brake pads, make sure to also check the condition of your rotors. If they are worn or damaged, it's best to replace them as well to ensure optimal braking performance.
