How can I fix the squeaking noise in my Audi 80's suspension?

I recently noticed a squeaking noise coming from the suspension of my Audi 80. It seems to happen when going over bumps or turning sharply. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The most likely cause of the squeaking noise is worn out or dry bushings in the suspension. You can try lubricating all the bushings with a silicone-based lubricant, or you may need to replace them altogether.

A

It could also be a loose strut or shock absorber. Check to make sure all bolts and mounting hardware are tight and secure. If they are, you may need to have the struts or shocks replaced.

R

Don't forget to also check the condition of your suspension springs. If they are worn or damaged, they can also cause a squeaking noise. Consider replacing them if necessary.
