I recently purchased an Audi with adaptive cruise control, but I find that it accelerates too quickly and brakes too abruptly. Is there a way to adjust the settings to make it smoother?
ReplyTo override the default behavior of the Audi adaptive cruise control, first press the "Car" button on the Audi MMI control panel. Then, select "Settings" and navigate to "Assistance systems." From there, you can adjust the "Cruise control" settings to your liking.
One trick to smooth out the acceleration and braking of the Audi adaptive cruise control is to adjust your following distance setting. By increasing the distance, the car will gradually accelerate and brake instead of doing so abruptly.
Another option to make the Audi adaptive cruise control smoother is to enable "Coasting" mode. This can be found in the same menu as the following distance setting and it allows the car to coast instead of braking when approaching a slower vehicle.
