How can I reset the MMI (Multi-Media Interface) in my Audi A3?

I am having issues with my Audi A3's MMI and I've heard that resetting it can help. How can I do this properly?

To reset the MMI on your Audi A3, press and hold down the Menu button, the Setup button and the top control knob at the same time for about 10 seconds. This will cause the MMI system to reboot and fix any glitches or freezing issues.
