How can I troubleshoot my Audi A2's engine misfire issue?

My Audi A2 has been experiencing frequent engine misfires. I've tried replacing the spark plugs and checking for vacuum leaks, but the issue still persists. What else should I look into to fix this problem?

Hi Julian, engine misfires can be caused by a few different things. In addition to the spark plugs and vacuum leaks, have you checked the ignition coils and fuel injectors? These components can also contribute to engine misfires. It may be worth getting a diagnostic scan to see if any error codes are present.

Hello Julian, another possibility is a faulty ignition control module. This can cause intermittent misfires and can be difficult to diagnose. If you've ruled out all other potential causes, it may be worth having the ignition control module tested.

Hi Julian, have you tried using a fuel system cleaner? It could be that your fuel injectors are clogged and causing the engine misfires. A fuel system cleaner can help remove any buildup and improve engine performance.
