How can I turn off the automatic start-stop function in my Audi A1?

I recently bought a new Audi A1 and I noticed that when I come to a stop, the engine turns off automatically to save fuel. However, I find this feature annoying and would like to know if there is a way to disable it. Does anyone know how to turn off the automatic start-stop function in an Audi A1?

To turn off the automatic start-stop function in an Audi A1, simply press the 'Auto' button on the center console. This will deactivate the feature and the engine will no longer turn off when you come to a stop. I suggest keeping it on during long drives to save fuel, but turning it off during city driving for a smoother experience.

If you prefer to have the start-stop function off permanently, you can make a simple adjustment in the vehicle settings. Go to 'Car' in the infotainment system, then 'Settings', and finally 'Auto Start-Stop'. From here, you can turn off the feature for all trips. Just be aware that this will decrease your fuel efficiency.

As an Audi A1 owner, I personally find the automatic start-stop function to be very helpful in reducing fuel consumption. However, there is no harm in wanting to turn it off. You can also turn it off temporarily by pressing down on the brake pedal harder than usual. This will prevent the engine from turning off.
