How can I turn off the start-stop system on my Audi A4?

I find the stop and start system on my Audi A4 to be disruptive and would like to turn it off permanently. Is this possible, and if so, how can I do it?

To turn off the start-stop system on your Audi A4, press the start-stop button on the center console and hold it for 3 seconds. This will disable the system until you turn off the car.
