How do I change the transmission fluid on my Audi 80?

I've noticed that my Audi 80's shifting is becoming rough and I suspect it's due to old transmission fluid. Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions on how to change the fluid myself?

Hi Rachel, it's definitely a good idea to change your transmission fluid if it's becoming rough. To do so, you'll need to first locate the transmission's drain plug and remove it. It's usually located on the bottom of the transmission or on the side. Once you've drained the fluid, you'll need to locate and remove the transmission's fill plug. This is usually located on the side of the transmission near the top. You'll also need to replace the gasket on the drain plug before re-installing it. Lastly, refill the transmission with the specified transmission fluid and you're all set!
