How do I check the engine oil level in an Audi A2?

I recently bought a used Audi A2 and wanted to make sure the engine oil level is correct. How can I check it and what should I do if it is low?

To check the engine oil level in an Audi A2, park the car on a level surface and wait at least 5 minutes after turning off the engine. Open the hood and locate the oil dipstick near the front of the engine. Pull it out, wipe it clean, re-insert it, and then pull it out again. The level should be between the minimum and maximum marks. If it is low, add the recommended type and amount of oil to bring it to the correct level.

Wipe it clean, re-insert it, and then pull it out again. Check the oil level between the minimum and maximum marks. If it is low, add the correct type and amount of oil. Avoid overfilling as it can cause damage to your engine.
