How do I check the oil level in my Audi A6?

I recently got an Audi A6 and I'm not sure how to check the oil level. Can someone explain the process to me step by step?

First, make sure your car is on a level surface and the engine is cool. Then, locate the dipstick, which is usually labeled with a bright color. Pull the dipstick out and wipe it clean with a rag or paper towel. Insert the dipstick back into the tube and pull it out again. The oil level should be between the two dots or within the crosshatched area. If it's low, add more oil. If it's too high, have the excess drained.
