How do I initialize the electronic parking brake on an Audi A6?

I'm new to driving an Audi A6 and I'm not sure how to engage the electronic parking brake. Can someone walk me through the steps?

To initialize the electronic parking brake, first make sure the car is in "Park" mode. Then, press down on the parking brake switch located on the center console until the red light on the switch turns off.

Audi A6 models with a manual transmission also have a manual parking brake lever. To engage it, pull up on the lever with your left hand while pressing down on the button located on the top of the lever.
