How do I replace the ignition coils on an Audi 80?

I am experiencing misfires and engine performance issues on my Audi 80. I suspect it may be a faulty ignition coil. How can I replace them myself?

First, locate the ignition coils on your engine. They are usually attached to the spark plugs. Remove the electrical connector and any bolts securing the coil in place. Then, gently lift out the old coil and replace it with a new one. Tighten any bolts and reconnect the electrical connector.

Before replacing the ignition coils, use a code scanner to identify which specific coils are causing the issue. This will save you time and effort in replacing all of them. You can also check for any recalls or service bulletins for your specific make and model of Audi 80.
