How do I reset the mileage indicator on an Audi A1?

I recently bought a used Audi A1 and the mileage has not been reset since the last owner. How can I reset the mileage indicator to accurately reflect the current mileage of the car?

To reset the mileage indicator on an Audi A1, locate the '0.0' button on the dashboard and hold it down for at least five seconds. This should prompt a reset of the mileage and reset the indicator to '0 miles'. If this does not work, consult your car manual or take it to an Audi dealership for assistance.

One option to reset the mileage indicator on an Audi A1 is to use an OBD2 scanner tool. These tools can communicate with the car's computer and allow you to reset the mileage and perform other diagnostic functions. However, these tools can be expensive and it may be more cost-effective to take your car to a mechanic to have the mileage reset.

I have found that sometimes a simple battery reset can also reset the mileage indicator on an Audi A1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for a couple of minutes and then reconnect it. This can sometimes reset the car's systems and reset the mileage indicator as well.
