How do I reset the MMI infotainment system on my Audi A4?

I recently purchased a used Audi A4 and noticed that the MMI infotainment system is not working properly. How can I reset it to its factory settings?

First, press and hold down the function keys for SETUP and MAIN MENU. While holding them down, press and hold the control knob for the selector button.

Keep holding the keys and buttons until the MMI system resets. This may take up to 3 minutes.
