I recently purchased a used Audi A8 and the oil change indicator is still showing that it needs service. How can I reset it myself without taking it to the dealership?
ReplyTo reset your oil indicator, start by pressing the CAR and MENU buttons on your MMI display at the same time. Then, navigate to the Service submenu and select Reset Oil Change Interval. Follow the prompts on the screen to reset the indicator.
Another way to reset the oil indicator is to use the VAG-COM diagnostic tool. It allows you to access and adjust various settings on your Audi, including resetting the oil indicator.
If you don't have access to a VAG-COM tool, you can also take your Audi to an independent mechanic who specializes in European cars. They should be able to reset the oil indicator for you at a lower cost than the dealership.
