How do I reset the oil maintenance indicator on my Audi A6?

I recently had my oil changed at a local mechanic, but the maintenance indicator is still showing up on my dashboard. How do I reset it myself without having to take it back to the mechanic?

To reset the oil maintenance indicator on your Audi A6, follow these steps: 1. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine. 2. Press the CAR button on your MMI system until the SERVICE MESSAGE appears. 3. Hold the rest button on the bottom right corner of your MMI display until the reset prompt appears. 4. Use the MMI knob to select 'Confirm Service'. 5. Press the rest button again to confirm the reset. Your oil maintenance indicator should now be reset. Hope this helps!

A quick and easy way to reset your oil maintenance indicator on an Audi A6 is to use the trip reset button on your dashboard. While the indicator is displayed, press and hold the trip reset button until the indicator turns off. This should reset the indicator and you can continue driving your vehicle with peace of mind.

If you prefer not to use the MMI system or the trip reset button, you can also manually reset the oil maintenance indicator on your Audi A6. Locate the fuse panel in the driver's side foot well and remove the fuse for the instrument cluster. Wait for 30 seconds and then replace the fuse. This should reset the indicator and you can start your vehicle to check if it has worked.
