How do you activate the automatic windshield wipers on the Audi A5?

I just got an Audi A5 and am having trouble figuring out how to activate the automatic windshield wipers. Can someone please walk me through the steps?

To activate the automatic windshield wipers on your Audi A5, first make sure the wiper stalk is in the 'auto' position. Then, adjust the sensitivity of the rain sensor by turning the ring on the end of the stalk, until the desired level of sensitivity is reached.
