How do you properly shift gears in an Audi R8?

I recently purchased an Audi R8 and have been struggling to properly shift gears without causing any damage. I want to make sure I am doing it correctly and efficiently. Can anyone give me some tips or advice on how to properly shift gears in an Audi R8?
