How Does the Charging System on the Audi e-Tron Work?

Can someone explain the technical details and functionalities of the charging system in the Audi e-Tron? I'm looking for specific information on how it works, what type of charging cables are compatible, and the charging times for different levels.

The Audi e-Tron uses a Combined Charging System (CCS), which supports both AC and DC fast charging. This means that it is compatible with both level 1 and level 2 AC chargers, as well as DC fast chargers up to 150kW. The total charging time will vary depending on the battery capacity, but on average, it takes around 9 hours on a level 2 charger and 30 minutes on a DC fast charger to reach 80% capacity.

The charging system on the Audi e-Tron is very intuitive and user-friendly. Simply plug in the included level 1 charger into a standard household outlet for overnight charging, or use a level 2 charger for faster charging times. If you need to charge on the go, the car also comes with a CCS adapter for DC fast charging. As for compatible cables, make sure to use only CCS-compatible cables to ensure fast and safe charging.

While the charging system on the Audi e-Tron is impressive and efficient, it is important to note that charging times may vary based on external factors such as ambient temperature and battery condition. It is always a good idea to keep a backup charger with you while on a long trip to avoid any potential delays in charging.
