How to check the transmission fluid level in an Audi 80?

I've just purchased a used Audi 80 and want to make sure the transmission fluid level is correct. How can I check this on my own?

To check the transmission fluid level on an Audi 80, first make sure the car is on a level surface and the engine is warm. Then, locate the transmission dipstick under the hood and remove it. Wipe it clean with a cloth, reinsert it, and remove again to check the fluid level. It should be within the acceptable range marked on the dipstick.
