How to fix a broken Audi 80 key fob?

My key fob for my Audi 80 stopped working suddenly. I can't even unlock or lock the car with it. Is there a way to fix it at home or do I need to bring it to a dealership?

The key fob may have lost its connection to the car's electronic system. Try re-syncing it by following these steps: 1. Get in the car and close all doors. 2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'On' position without starting the engine. 3. Press and hold the 'Lock' button for 10 seconds. 4. Release the 'Lock' button and remove the key from the ignition. 5. Test the key fob to see if it's working. If not, it may need to be reset by a dealer.

Check the battery of the key fob. If it's low or dead, it won't be able to send a signal to the car. Try replacing the battery and see if that solves the issue. Make sure to use the correct battery size for your specific key fob.
