How to fix a malfunctioning MMI system in an Audi A8?

My MMI system in my Audi A8 keeps freezing and disconnecting from my phone. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

First, try resetting the MMI system by pressing and holding the Nav and Setup buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. If that doesn't work, check for any software updates that may fix the issue.
