How to fix a squeaky brake in an Audi?

My Audi's brakes have been making a high-pitched squeaking noise whenever I apply them. It's quite embarrassing when driving in a quiet neighborhood. I'm curious to know what the cause could be and how I can fix it.

The squeaking noise could be due to build-up of dust, dirt and brake debris on the brake components. You can try cleaning them with a brake cleaner and see if that helps. Make sure to follow the instructions on the cleaner and avoid getting it on any other part of the car.

Another possible cause could be worn out brake pads. It's important to get them replaced as soon as possible to avoid any further damage to your brake system. You can either do it yourself or take it to a certified mechanic.

Some Audi models have a known issue with the brake calipers causing a squeaking noise. It's recommended to take your car to a dealership and have them check for any recalls or technical service bulletins related to this issue. They will most likely replace the calipers for free.
