How to fix Audi 80 engine overheating issue?

I recently bought a used Audi 80 and have noticed that the engine temperature quickly rises to a dangerous level when driving for more than 15 minutes. I've checked the coolant levels and they seem fine. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

The most common cause of engine overheating in Audi 80 cars is a faulty thermostat. It can get stuck in the closed position, preventing coolant from flowing through the system and causing the engine to overheat. Try replacing the thermostat and see if that fixes the issue.

Another possible reason for engine overheating in Audi 80 cars is a malfunctioning water pump. The water pump is responsible for circulating the coolant through the engine. If it is not functioning properly, the coolant won't be able to cool down the engine effectively. Consider having the water pump checked and replaced if necessary.
