I am trying to replace the power steering pump on my Audi A6 but I am not sure where to start. Can someone provide step-by-step instructions for installation?
ReplyThe first step is to loosen the drive belt tensioner and remove the drive belt from the pump pulley. Then, remove the hose fittings and mounting bolts from the old pump. Install the new pump and reattach all fittings and bolts.
Make sure to bleed the power steering system after installation to remove any air pockets. This can be done by turning the steering wheel back and forth multiple times with the engine off, then topping off the fluid.
