One possible cause of engine overheating could be a malfunctioning thermostat. It is responsible for regulating the flow of coolant in your engine. If it gets stuck in the closed position, it could cause the engine to overheat. It is recommended to get it checked by a mechanic and replaced if necessary.

Another possible cause could be a leak in the cooling system. Even a small leak can eventually lead to engine overheating if not addressed. Check for any visible leaks and get them fixed as soon as possible.
