ReplyTo program the keyless entry system on an Audi A6, first sit in the driver's seat with all doors closed and the key fob outside the vehicle. Then, use the door lock switch to lock and unlock the driver's side door 5 times within 10 seconds. Finally, press any button on the key fob to complete the programming process.
I had the same issue with my Audi A6 and found out that the key fob was not synced with the car. To do this, press the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob simultaneously for 5 seconds while standing close to the driver's door. Wait for the car to beep and then try programming the system again.
