How To Replace a Faulty Alternator in the Audi 80

I noticed that my Audi 80's battery is not holding a charge and after some research, I suspect that the alternator might be faulty. How can I replace the alternator myself without causing any damage to my car?

To replace your Audi 80's alternator, start by disconnecting the battery, removing the air intake and serpentine belt, and then unbolting the old alternator. Install the new alternator by bolting it in place, reattaching the serpentine belt and air intake, and reconnecting the battery. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, it's always best to take your car to a certified mechanic.
