How to replace the wheel bearings in an Audi 80?

I have a 1992 Audi 80 and I need to replace the wheel bearings. Can anyone walk me through the process and provide any tips or tricks? Thanks in advance!

Firstly, make sure to have all the necessary tools such as a wheel bearing press, a torque wrench, and a bearing packer. Also, having an extra pair of hands can be helpful in this process. As for the steps, ensure to remove the wheel, remove the brake caliper, and then use the press to remove the old bearings. Pack the new bearings with grease before pressing them into place. Lastly, make sure to torque the wheel to the recommended specification.

I highly recommend using high-quality wheel bearings, preferably from the original manufacturer. Cheap bearings can lead to future issues and can be dangerous. Also, always replace the bearings in pairs for balanced wear and performance.

I've had good experiences using heat to loosen stubborn bearings. Just be cautious not to damage any other parts in the process. Also, make sure to thoroughly clean and pack the new bearings to ensure proper function and longevity.
