How to reset the maintenance message on my Audi A3?

Recently, I got a maintenance reminder on my dashboard for my Audi A3. I usually take my car to the dealership for servicing but my schedule is tight and I'm unable to do so. How can I reset the message myself without affecting my car's performance?

To reset the maintenance message on your Audi A3, turn on your ignition without starting the engine. Press and hold the button on the right side of your instrument cluster until the message 'Service OIL' is displayed. Then release the button and turn off the ignition. This should reset the message and your car's computer will now recognize your next service interval.

Most Audi A3 models have a reset button located on the side of the instrument cluster. Press and hold it down for a few seconds until the 'Service OIL' message disappears. If your model doesn't have a reset button, try pressing and holding the '0.0/TRIP' button or the 'OK' button on your steering wheel controls.
