How to tell if my Audi A3 has a turbocharger?

I recently bought a used Audi A3 and I'm not sure if it has a turbocharger. Is there a way to easily tell?

Check the engine cover for a 'TFSI' badge. This indicates that your A3 has a turbocharged engine. You can also pop the hood and look for the turbocharger directly on the engine.

Go for a test drive and pay attention to the power and acceleration. A turbocharged engine should have more power and quicker acceleration compared to a non-turbocharged engine.

Look at the vehicle identification number (VIN) on your car and check the 5th and 8th characters. If it is 'T' or 'F', then your A3 has a turbocharged engine.
