My 2018 Audi A4 is experiencing an intermittent misfiring issue. The check engine light comes on and when I checked the code, it showed a misfire in cylinder 3. I have changed the spark plugs and coils, but the problem still persists. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?
ReplyThe most likely cause of a misfiring problem in an Audi A4 is a faulty ignition coil. Even though you have already replaced the coils, it is possible that the new one is also defective. Try swapping the coils from cylinder 3 with another cylinder and see if the misfire moves with it. If it does, then you have found the problem and can replace the faulty coil.
Another possible cause could be a clogged or dirty fuel injector. You can try using a fuel injector cleaner to see if that resolves the issue. If not, you may need to have the fuel injector replaced.
