Check the fuse box first, as a blown fuse could be the root of the problem. If that doesn't seem to be the issue, then it could potentially be a malfunctioning compressor or refrigerant leak. It's best to take it to a mechanic for a professional diagnosis and repair.

A common issue with Audi 80 air conditioners is a faulty temperature sensor. This can cause the AC to only blow hot air or not work at all. You can try replacing the sensor yourself, but if that doesn't work, taking it to a mechanic is the safest option.

Before taking it to a mechanic, check the condenser and make sure it's not clogged or damaged. This could be causing a lack of cool air flow. Also, try cleaning or changing the cabin air filter as a clogged filter can also hinder the AC's performance.
