How to troubleshoot an issue with the cooling system in my Audi 80?

I have noticed that my Audi 80's temperature gauge is frequently rising and the coolant level is decreasing. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It sounds like you could have a leak in your coolant system. Check all hoses and connections for signs of leakage and replace as necessary. Also, make sure your radiator cap is properly sealed and functioning.
