I just bought a new Audi and I am trying to figure out the differences between MMI and Audi Connect. Can someone help me understand the distinctions between the two and which one I should use for different scenarios?
ReplyAudi MMI stands for Multi-Media Interface and is the on-board infotainment system in Audi vehicles. On the other hand, Audi Connect is the brand's connectivity technology that allows you to access the internet, use online services, and even control certain aspects of your car remotely.
If you want to control your car's navigation, media, and other features, you should use Audi MMI. But if you need internet access, real-time traffic updates or remote vehicle services, Audi Connect is the way to go. Some services, like Google Earth navigation and WiFi hotspot, are found in both systems and can be used simultaneously.
It ultimately depends on your needs and preferences. If you don't have a data plan or don't need advanced features, you can stick with just Audi MMI. If you want the most cutting-edge technology and connectivity, you should opt for both MMI and Audi Connect. Keep in mind that Audi Connect requires a subscription.
