What are the differences between Audi's quattro and BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive systems?

I am debating between purchasing an Audi with quattro and a BMW with xDrive. Can anyone explain the key differences between these two all-wheel drive systems and which one would be more suitable for my needs?

Quattro and xDrive are both excellent all-wheel drive systems. However, Audi's quattro is known for its quick response and superb handling, especially in challenging road conditions. BMW's xDrive, on the other hand, focuses more on providing maximum traction for improved performance and stability.

If you frequently drive in snowy or slippery conditions, then Audi's quattro would be a better option due to its ability to redirect power to the wheels with the most grip. However, if you prioritize sportiness and performance, then BMW's xDrive would be a good fit for your needs.

One key difference between quattro and xDrive is their layout. Quattro is a permanent all-wheel drive system, whereas xDrive is a part-time system that only activates when needed. This means quattro provides consistent traction at all times, while xDrive offers a more dynamic driving experience.
