What are the differences between the Audi A6 TFSI and TDI engines?

I am interested in purchasing the Audi A6, but I am unsure of whether to choose the TFSI or TDI engine option. Can someone please explain the technical differences between the two and any potential advantages/disadvantages of either?

The Audi A6 TFSI engine is a gasoline-powered engine, while the TDI engine is a diesel-powered engine. The main difference is in their fuel consumption and torque. The TFSI engine has better fuel efficiency and is more suitable for city driving, while the TDI engine has more torque and is better for long-distance driving. Ultimately, it depends on your driving needs and preferences.

One important factor to consider is the emissions of each engine. The TDI engine has lower CO2 emissions, making it a more environmentally friendly option. However, the TFSI engine has been continuously improved and now has lower emissions as well. If you prioritize eco-friendliness, the TDI engine may be the better choice.
