What could be causing my Audi 80's engine to crank but not start?

I recently purchased a used Audi 80 and have been having trouble getting it to start. When I turn the key, the engine cranks but it doesn't seem to fire up. I have checked the battery and replaced the spark plugs, but it still won't start. What else should I check for?

First, make sure you have enough fuel in the tank. Sometimes a car won't start if it's running low on gas. If that's not the issue, it could be a problem with your fuel pump or spark plug wires. Have these checked by a mechanic if necessary.
