I just bought a 1991 Audi 80 with a carbureted engine and I am not sure what type of oil to use. I want to make sure I use the best option for optimal performance.
ReplyFor a carbureted engine, it is best to use a high-zinc motor oil to protect against wear and tear. Look for an oil with a zinc content of at least 1,200 ppm for best results.
In addition to zinc, make sure to use a high-quality oil with a viscosity rating of 10W-30 for maximum protection and performance in your carbureted Audi 80.
I have found that using a synthetic blend oil with a high zinc and viscosity rating works best for my carbureted engines. You may have to experiment to find the right balance for your specific Audi 80.
