What is the difference between a turbo and a supercharger in an Audi A3?

I'm looking to upgrade my Audi A3's performance, but I'm not sure if I should add a turbo or a supercharger. Can anyone explain the difference between the two and which one would be better for my car?

A turbocharger uses exhaust gases to spin a turbine, which then compresses air and sends it into the engine for more power. A supercharger, on the other hand, is belt-driven and directly pumps air into the engine for added power. In terms of performance, a turbocharger typically provides more power at higher RPMs while a supercharger gives immediate boost at lower RPMs. In your case, a supercharger would be the better option for your Audi A3.
