What is the difference between a turbocharger and a supercharger in the Audi 80?

I am looking to upgrade my car's performance and have heard about both turbochargers and superchargers for the Audi 80. Can you explain the differences and which one would be better for my car?

A turbocharger uses a turbine to compress and force more air into the engine, increasing horsepower. A supercharger uses a belt-driven air compressor to achieve the same effect. In general, turbochargers are more efficient and better for fuel economy, while superchargers provide quicker acceleration and are easier to install.
