What is the purpose and placement of the ESP button in an Audi A6?

I am a new Audi A6 owner and have noticed an ESP button on the dashboard. I am not sure what it does and where it is best to use it. Can anyone provide some insight?

The ESP button stands for Electronic Stability Program, and it is meant to improve vehicle stability by automatically adjusting the brakes and engine power to prevent skidding or loss of control. It is best to use it when driving on wet or slippery roads.

The ESP button is also helpful for maintaining control during emergency maneuvers or sudden turns. Just remember to turn it off when driving on dry roads for optimum performance.
